After debuting on the FW19 runway, Nike and Sacai had teamed up once again for the creation of the Sacai Nike Blazer Mid White Grey. Chitose Abe founded Sacai in 1999 after working on design teams at Comme Des Garcons and Junya Watanabe. The label is known for its elevated technical ability to splice separate items together to create something new. These two companies have a history of collaborating on footwear and apparel and this was the second installation of their modified Blazer design. The Blazer Mid stays true to Sacai’s design principles while utilizing Nike’s materials and blueprint. The mudguard, tongue, laces, heel, and classic Swoosh are all doubled and juxtaposed in a way that exposes each layer. The pair is simplistically finished off in a white, grey, cream and black colour palette.
