In the era it debuted, this shoe introduced two improvements to the model’s lineage - the teardrop tongue and QUADRA lacing system. Working in unison with each other, these technologies create an improved fit with better midfoot support.
The GEL-KAYANO 5 OG shoe is injected with a GEL technology cushioning pocket in the heel for greater comfort, while the layered application of componentry has become the foundation that still influences the shoe's design today.
